The only known script for Jean-Luc Godard’s classic film 'Breathless' will be auctioned by Sotheby’s Paris in June 2025. Discovered in the estate of producer Georges de Beauregard, this 70-page partial manuscript includes handwritten notes by Godard and key scene descriptions. Estimated to fetch between €400,000 and €600,000, the auction will also feature photographs from De Beauregard’s archive. Godard, who passed away in 2022, was known for his innovative filmmaking techniques, often rejecting formal scripts.
