A Paris court is set to deliver a verdict on accusations against actor Gérard Depardieu for sexually assaulting two women during the filming of 'Les Volets Verts' in 2021. Depardieu, who denies the allegations, faces up to five years in prison if convicted. The case is seen as significant in the context of the #MeToo movement in France. The public prosecutor has requested an 18-month suspended sentence and a fine, while some in the film industry have shown support for Depardieu. He has faced multiple allegations from over 20 women, with another active case from 2018 still pending.
