The Ukrainian parliament speaker, Ruslan Stefanchuk, announced that the government will begin negotiations with the Trump administration for US access to Ukraine's mineral resources, starting next week. President Zelenskyy previously rejected a US demand for a significant cut of Ukraine's mineral wealth, citing insufficient military aid. The US has threatened to cut Ukraine's access to the Starlink satellite system, crucial for military operations. Ukraine's mineral resources, including rare earth elements and titanium, hold significant potential for the economy, but many resources remain untapped due to the ongoing war.
