Passenger traffic on Budapest-Belgrade railway line to resume in mid-March

Freight traffic on the Budapest–Belgrade railway line is set to begin at the end of February, with passenger transport expected to follow by mid-March. Serbian Minister Aleksandra Sofronijević announced ticket prices and travel times, highlighting a significant reduction in journey duration. The renovation of the line started in 2021, and both countries have agreed on operational details. The Hungarian Minister János Lázár confirmed ongoing test runs and the goal of opening passenger service by March 15.
