Pedro Sánchez, the Spanish Prime Minister, is strategically confronting Donald Trump over the US-Israeli intervention in Iran, aiming to mobilize his progressive base and position himself as a defender of international law. His bold stance risks diplomatic isolation and potential trade conflicts but seeks to revive a historical anti-war sentiment among Spanish voters. Sánchez's approach draws parallels with past leaders who opposed US military actions, reflecting a desire to assert Spain's sovereignty while navigating complex international relations.
