Plans for high-speed rail link and new cargo terminal for Budapest Airport announced 😊

Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy announced plans for a new high-speed rail link between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Nyugati railway station, along with a new cargo terminal. The investments, worth EUR 1 billion and EUR 0.4-1 billion respectively, aim to accommodate growing passenger and cargo traffic at Budapest Airport. The new rail line will integrate with the existing network, and preparations for the project are underway, with tenders expected in six months. The cargo terminal is necessary due to increasing air cargo demands, particularly from pharmaceutical logistics.
