Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk survived a confidence vote in the Sejm with 243 votes for and 210 against. This vote followed the loss of Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski to conservative Karol Nawrocki, backed by Donald Trump. Tusk faces challenges from a new president aligned with the nationalist opposition, complicating his reform efforts. Despite the defeat, Tusk believes there is still strong support for his views. The governing coalition is under strain, with calls for a new prime minister emerging. Tusk plans a government reconstruction and aims to present a unified message amidst political divisions.
