Catholic mourners reflect on Pope Francis's life, highlighting his compassion for prisoners. Monsignor Benoni Ambarus recounts the pope's final acts of charity, including a €200,000 donation to a pasta factory in a juvenile prison. Ambarus describes the pope's dedication to prisoners, emphasizing their hope in him. However, he criticizes the legal system for not heeding the pope's calls for mercy and dignity for inmates, leading to sadness among prisoners who feel abandoned.
