A Portuguese court in Setúbal has remanded in custody Marine Rousseau and Marc Ballagriga, the mother and stepfather of two abandoned French children. They face charges of aggravated assault, endangerment, and abandonment after the children, aged four and five, were found on a roadside. The children are now in foster care in Lisbon, while the couple was arrested in Fátima and appeared detached during questioning.
