On Monday, 55 goats and sheep and three cattle were slaughtered in Schöneiche, Germany, due to a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak. The disease was confirmed after the farm purchased hay from a buffalo farm in Hönow. A 72-hour transport ban was imposed to prevent further spread, and investigations show the disease is contained within the two farms.
