Qantas has announced plans to introduce non-stop flights between Sydney and New York in mid-2028, significantly reducing travel time by over three hours compared to current one-stop options. The flights will utilize specially configured Airbus A350-1000ULR aircraft, designed for ultra-long-haul travel, featuring a 'Wellbeing Zone' for passenger comfort. Tickets for the inaugural flight will be available from August 2027, as part of the airline's 'Project Sunrise' initiative.
