Victoria Bonner, co-owner of Hold Fast bookshop in Leeds, emphasizes the comfort and perspective books provide, especially in the context of climate challenges. The bookshop, located on a former coal barge, offers a variety of genres, particularly focusing on nature and environmental themes. Other independent bookshops, like FOLDE in Dorset and Lighthouse in Edinburgh, also play crucial roles in promoting climate action and connecting readers with relevant literature. They emphasize the importance of matching books to readers' needs and fostering community engagement around environmental issues.
