Rebel group committing ‘widespread abuses’ in Colombia’s Catatumbo region, says NGO 😔
Cikk tartalma röviden
A Human Rights Watch report highlights severe human rights violations in Colombia's Catatumbo region, where armed groups, particularly the ELN, are executing civilians, recruiting children, and operating forced labor camps. The report urges the Colombian government to investigate recent homicides and address the displacement of over 56,000 people due to violence. The ELN's actions are linked to drug trafficking and control over the border with Venezuela, complicating peace efforts.
