Arnaldo Pomodoro, a renowned Italian contemporary artist, passed away at 98 in Milan, just before his 99th birthday. He was famous for his bronze spheres that symbolize the contrast between superficial perfection and complex interiors. Italian Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli noted the fragility represented in Pomodoro's work. His sculptures are displayed in various iconic locations, including the Vatican and the United Nations. Pomodoro also contributed to theatrical designs and educational institutions.
