Zbigniew Ziobro, a former Polish justice minister, received a U.S. visa through the intervention of Christopher Landau, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State. Ziobro, who was granted political asylum in Hungary by Viktor Orbán, is under suspicion of corruption in Poland. The urgency of the visa issuance was justified by national security reasons. Ziobro is currently wanted in Poland and has confirmed his presence in the U.S. after arriving on the day of Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar's inauguration.
