Ugandan entrepreneurs Sandra Namboozo and Samuel Muyita developed a biodegradable sachet to extend the shelf life of fruits by up to 30 days, addressing food waste and supporting farmers. Their company, Karpolax, uses plant-based compounds to preserve fruits naturally. They aim to empower farmers and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with plans to expand across East Africa.
