Ukraine's military intelligence reports that Russia is increasing its military presence in Armenia, particularly at the Gyumri base, to influence the South Caucasus and destabilize global security. Armenia's Foreign Ministry has denied these claims. The base, established in the 1990s, is strategically located near the border with Türkiye and Azerbaijan. Armenia is seeking to normalize relations with Azerbaijan and Türkiye, questioning the necessity of the Russian military presence.
