Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, a top Russian general responsible for radiation, chemical, and biological protection, was killed in an explosion in Moscow. The blast, allegedly coordinated by Ukrainian Security Services, involved a device hidden in a scooter. Kirillov had recently been sentenced in absentia for using banned chemical weapons in Ukraine and was under sanctions from multiple countries. A criminal investigation into the incident has been initiated.
