Voislav Torden, a Russian national and member of the mercenary group Rusich, was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Finnish court for war crimes committed in Ukraine in 2014. He was found guilty of four charges related to an ambush that resulted in the deaths of 22 Ukrainian soldiers. Torden denies the allegations and plans to appeal.
