Rwanda has severed diplomatic relations with Belgium, accusing it of undermining the country during the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Belgium has called for sanctions against Rwanda for its support of the M23 rebel group. Rwanda has given Belgian diplomats 48 hours to leave and criticized Belgium for its perceived neo-colonial stance.
