A swarm of autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) will monitor offshore artificial reefs designed to attract marine life in barren sea areas. Equipped with sensors and cameras, these AUVs will provide data to the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) about the effectiveness of the reefs made from eco-friendly materials. The project, named EONIOS, aims to enhance fish stocks and protect the reefs from illegal activities.
