Açık Radyo, one of Turkey's oldest radio channels, ceased terrestrial broadcasts after its license was revoked by RTÜK due to failure to comply with a suspension order. Founder Ömer Madra explained that the revocation was not directly related to the phrase 'Armenian genocide' used in a broadcast but due to a lack of notification about the suspension dates.
