Romania's ruling Social Democratic Party (PSD) is set to win the parliamentary elections with nearly 23% of the vote, leading over the far-right AUR at 18%. Other parties include the National Liberal Party (PNL) at 14.4% and Save Romania Union (USR) at 12%. The elections follow a controversial presidential race where far-right candidate Călin Georgescu won the most votes, while incumbent Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu resigned as PSD leader.
