A group of nuns sang in St Peter's Square as Pope Francis lay in state, marking a somber yet reflective atmosphere in Rome following his death. While there is mourning, many feel a sense of recognition for his peaceful passing and are encouraged to reflect on life. The city is bustling with crowds, but there is a quieter, pensive mood. People are paying their respects, and the upcoming funeral is seen as a celebration of the Pope's life and legacy. Security is heightened, and the contrast between the wealth of the Vatican and the poverty surrounding it is noted.
