Abou Sangaré, a 23-year-old Guinean actor, has been granted a one-year visa to stay in France after winning two awards at Cannes for his role in 'Souleymane’s Story'. The film, about a Guinean migrant, reflects Sangaré's own struggles with residency in France. He is now focusing on a new job as a mechanic while putting his acting career on hold. Sangaré's journey to France began at age 15, and he faced numerous challenges, including imprisonment and denied asylum claims. The film's success coincides with France's stricter immigration policies.
