South Korea's military has ceased anti-North Korea propaganda broadcasts as part of President Lee Jae-myung's efforts to ease tensions and restore trust with North Korea. This decision follows a campaign promise by Lee, who aims to improve inter-Korean relations after the previous administration's hardline stance. North Korea has not commented on the cessation of broadcasts, which had resumed last year in response to North Korean balloon campaigns. The South Korean government is also urging civilian activists to stop similar propaganda activities to avoid escalating tensions.
