To celebrate the 200th anniversary of composer Johann Strauss II, the Vienna Tourist Board and the European Space Agency are correcting a historical oversight by sending Strauss's 'Danube Waltz' into space. This initiative coincides with the 50th anniversary of the ESA and involves a live performance by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra on May 31, 2025, which will be transmitted to Voyager 1.
