The 2026 Sony World Photography Awards introduced the European Student Award, won by Teresa Halbreiter from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg for her series 'Stillgestanden', which examines femininity in the German Armed Forces. Other shortlisted students addressed themes like environmental disasters and friendship. The exhibition is at Somerset House, London from 17 April to 4 May, 2026.
