Swedish prosecutors have initiated a preliminary investigation into suspected sabotage involving a vessel in the Baltic Sea, linked to damage of an underwater fibre optic cable between Latvia and Gotland. The Coast Guard is on site with the detained Malta-flagged ship, Vezhen, which had departed from a Russian port. Latvia's media reported disruptions in data transmission, and both Latvian and Swedish governments are collaborating on the investigation amidst concerns of Russian sabotage in the region.
