Syria's embassy in Lebanon suspended consular services following the arrest of two relatives of ousted President Bashar al-Assad with allegedly forged passports. The suspension, ordered by the Syrian foreign ministry, is believed to be linked to the forged documents. Meanwhile, Lebanese authorities have handed over dozens of Syrian nationals to the new Syrian administration, led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). Tensions persist between HTS forces and pro-Assad groups, as well as between Kurdish-led forces and Turkish-backed groups, amid ongoing international discussions regarding Syria's political future.
