BMW and Tesla Shanghai are suing the European Commission over tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. The EU imposed a 7.8% tariff on Tesla and a 20.7% tariff on BMW's China-made EVs. Other Chinese manufacturers like Geely, SAIC, and BYD are also affected. BMW argues these tariffs harm global business models and limit e-car supply, while the EU is open to negotiations. The lawsuits could challenge the EU's right to impose such tariffs, amid concerns about unfair Chinese subsidies affecting European market competition. Teljes cikk (Euronews.com)
