Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that public rides of the company's first robotaxi, the Cybercab, might be available in Austin, Texas, as early as June 22. However, safety concerns may delay the launch. Experts emphasize the importance of infrastructure for a successful launch, especially in light of competition from Waymo. Tesla faces challenges with stock decline and safety investigations, and transparency is crucial for regaining public trust.
