A third British national has suspected hantavirus linked to an outbreak on the cruise ship MV Hondius. The patient is on Tristan da Cunha, where the ship stopped in April. Two other British men have confirmed cases, one in stable condition in the Netherlands and another in intensive care in South Africa. Five cases of hantavirus have been confirmed, including one death. The ship will dock in the Canary Islands, and remaining passengers will be asked to isolate upon return to the UK. The outbreak's origin is unknown, and the WHO has called it a serious incident but stated the public risk is low.
