The US Supreme Court declined to hear a petition from young climate activists, ending a decade-long legal battle regarding their constitutional rights in relation to climate change. The case, Juliana v. United States, was filed in 2015 by 21 plaintiffs, who argued that the government's fossil fuel policies violated their rights to a safe climate.
