Thousands gathered in North Macedonia for funerals of 59 victims of a nightclub fire in Kocani. The Pulse club, which lacked safety measures and had an illegally obtained license, was the site of the tragedy. Anger over corruption has led to protests and government inspections of nightlife venues. The fire, which occurred during a performance, injured over 160 people, with many requiring treatment abroad.
