President Donald Trump has filed a $5 billion lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase and CEO Jamie Dimon, alleging that the bank terminated his accounts for political reasons after he left office in January 2021. The lawsuit claims that JPMorgan's actions disrupted Trump's business operations and placed him on a reputational blacklist. JPMorgan denies the allegations, stating that account closures are based on legal risks, not political motives. The issue of 'debanking' has gained attention, with Trump and other conservative figures claiming discrimination by banks.
