Nine artefacts from the 2nd to 7th century are being returned to Uzbekistan after being recovered by the Metropolitan Police in London. The items, seized during 'Operation Inherent Vice', include sculpted heads and wall painting fragments linked to ancient Termez and Sogdian traditions. The return was highlighted during an international cultural event in London, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in preventing illicit trafficking of cultural property. The artefacts will be preserved and displayed at the Centre of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan.
