Three Russian submarines conducted a covert operation near UK cables and pipelines, prompting a British military response. Defence Secretary John Healey warned Russia against damaging UK infrastructure, while the Russian embassy denied the claims. Healey highlighted the importance of undersea cables for UK data and energy, and discussed the capabilities of Russia's GUGI unit in underwater surveillance. The situation reflects ongoing tensions and concerns about hybrid warfare tactics employed by Russia.
