European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that the EU aims for Ukraine to achieve membership by 2030, despite concerns raised by experts about Ukraine's compliance with the Copenhagen criteria. Peter Siklosi from the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs emphasized that Ukraine currently does not meet the necessary political, legal, and economic conditions for EU membership, particularly due to its war-torn state and issues with human rights.
