Ukraine launched drone strikes on St Petersburg, Russia, ahead of a major economic forum. Local authorities reported air defenses shot down 59 drones, and while there were no fatalities, the strikes disrupted mobile internet and closed Pulkovo Airport. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the attacks targeted military and oil facilities. The forum, attended by a low-key US delegation, is significant for Russia's political agenda. The ongoing conflict has seen Ukraine develop a strong defense sector, regularly hitting targets in Russia.
