Democratic Senator Bob Casey conceded his reelection bid to Republican David McCormick after a recount confirmed McCormick's narrow victory. This outcome leaves the Democrats with 47 Senate seats compared to the Republicans' 53. Casey's campaign faced challenges with ballot counting and accusations from both parties regarding vote legitimacy. Despite efforts to count provisional ballots, Casey ultimately conceded, allowing Pennsylvanians to move forward with the election results.
