Dídia Lourenço founded the Bengala Mágica association after her son Pedro lost his sight at six months. The association partners with the Alcântara José Dias Coelho Municipal Library in Lisbon to produce videos of stories for blind children. The availability of braille books is limited in Portugal, and the initiative aims to provide inclusive access to literature. The project has gained traction, with many volunteers participating, and plans to expand to include deaf children.
