On Wednesday evening, 133 cardinals will vote to elect the Catholic Church's 267th pope in the Sistine Chapel. The day begins with a mass in St Peter's Basilica, followed by the cardinals' procession to the chapel, where they will take an oath of secrecy. The voting process is crucial, with the first ballot indicating momentum among candidates. If no majority is reached, discussions will continue during meals at Casa Santa Marta. The conclave's duration is uncertain, but the faithful await the smoke signal from the chapel's chimney to know the outcome.
