Washington Post op-ed writer quits after paper refuses to publish piece critical of Bezos
Cikk tartalma röviden
Ruth Marcus, a journalist at the Washington Post since 1984, resigned after the paper refused to publish her critical opinion piece about owner Jeff Bezos. She expressed concern over the erosion of columnists' freedom to express their views. Bezos announced a shift in the paper's editorial focus, leading to several resignations, including that of opinions editor David Shipley. The Post has faced financial and editorial challenges, with many journalists leaving amid internal strife and subscription cancellations.
