Seattle is embracing its maritime identity for the FIFA World Cup by creating a floating fan zone and football pitch along its waterfront. The initiative aims to blend the tournament's excitement with the city's seafaring heritage and leave a lasting legacy for local communities. From June 11 to July 6, various events will take place at Waterfront Park, including youth football events and watch parties. The floating pitch symbolizes the Rave Foundation's efforts to increase access to football in Washington. Seattle will host six matches during the World Cup, which runs from June 11 to July 19.
