European Union officials are seeking ways to circumvent Hungary's veto on military assistance for Ukraine, which has been blocking €6.6 billion for over a year. The European Peace Facility (EPF), created to enhance the EU's ability to prevent conflicts and strengthen international security, has seen its budget increase significantly since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Hungary's Prime Minister Orban opposes further support to Ukraine, complicating the disbursement process. EU officials are exploring alternative funding methods to bypass this veto.
