Tourists visiting Rome in the coming weeks will encounter significant disruptions due to the death of Pope Francis on April 21. The Sistine Chapel will be closed for over a week for the conclave to elect a new pope, leading to heavy crowds and restrictions at major attractions. Visitors should expect long queues, heightened security, and a strict dress code at St. Peter's Basilica, where the pope's body lies in state. The funeral is anticipated to attract millions, with increased travel costs expected.
