The share of women in national governments and parliaments in Europe is increasing, with women holding about 35% of government posts in 2024, a 7.4% rise over the last decade. Finland and Lichtenstein lead with 60%, while Hungary has no women in government but elected its first female president, Katalin Novák, in 2022.
