Far-right politicians in Poland are outraged by a rumored plan to grant Ukrainians with Polish citizenship their own representation in the Polish parliament. They argue that this would undermine Polish interests and call for a halt to granting citizenship to Ukrainians. The government has clarified that there are no plans for such representation, and proposed changes to citizenship laws may extend the time required for Ukrainians to obtain citizenship. Despite fears from far-right figures, the rate of Ukrainian naturalization is increasing, but stricter requirements may be implemented.
