UNESCO established World Poetry Day on March 21 to celebrate linguistic diversity and honor poetry. This year, Aurora Vélez, a Euronews senior reporter and poet, shares her journey with poetry, influenced by her great-uncle and Spanish poets. She notes a resurgence of interest in poetry among youth post-COVID, emphasizing its evolution and connection to human experience. Vélez advocates for the preservation of endangered languages through poetry and encourages everyone to express themselves through writing.
